Seller Guidelines & Standards

Learn how to list products, manage orders, qualify for payouts, and protect your business on JAMBUY.

Product Listings & Catalog Management

Navigate to your Seller Dashboard > Products > Add New Product.

To ensure high conversion rates and maintain JAMBUY marketplace quality standards:
  • Titles: Use clear, brand-focused names (e.g., Handmade Leather Tote Bag - Tan).
  • Images: Upload clear, well-lit photos with high resolution. Avoid watermarks or heavy graphics covering the item.
  • Descriptions: Clearly outline material, sizing, care instructions, and what is included in the box.
  • Stock Levels: Always keep stock counts updated. Inventory overselling will negatively impact your seller rating.
You can update pricing, descriptions, or images anytime by selecting Edit on any listed product in your dashboard.

To run sales or promotional pricing, fill in the Sale Price field alongside your Regular Price and set scheduled start and end dates. Discounts automatically reflect across the marketplace with an eye-catching sale badge.

Payout Policy & Delivery Verification

To ensure buyer security and fraud protection, sales earnings are moved to your withdrawable balance 1 to 2 business days after the courier updates the order status to "Delivered".

Once cleared, navigate to Dashboard > Withdraw and submit your request. Funds are deposited directly to your Jamaican bank account (NCB, Scotiabank, JN Bank, etc.) or agreed payment method according to processing schedules.
Payout clearance relies on valid delivery confirmation. Always mark orders as Shipped inside your dashboard and input valid courier waybill/tracking numbers. If a dispute arises, JAMBUY Support will review courier delivery receipts to release your funds.

Packaging Standards & Fraud Prevention

Proper packaging protects your items and prevents buyer disputes during transit:
  • Use sturdy boxes or padded bubble mailers suitable for courier handling across Jamaica.
  • Seal boxes securely with heavy-duty packing tape.
  • Ensure fragile items are wrapped with bubble wrap or protective filler.
  • Attach courier waybills visibly on the exterior package.
To safeguard your business against fraudulent buyer return claims (e.g., claims of missing parts, damaged goods, or wrong items), we strongly recommend taking quick photo/video proof during dispatch:

1. Take a photo showing the item in good condition inside the open shipping box.
2. Take a photo of the sealed box showing the buyer's shipping label/waybill.
3. Email these photos along with your Order # to vendors@jambuy.shop before dropping off with the courier.

This proof is archived by JamBuy and protects your earnings completely if a dishonest buyer attempts an unauthorized claim.

Seller Conduct & Marketplace Rules

No. Redirecting JAMBUY buyers to complete payments outside the platform via direct bank transfer or third-party links is strictly prohibited. Off-platform transactions void all Seller Protection and will lead to immediate store suspension.
Prohibited items include illegal goods, counterfeit items, weapons, hazardous materials, and unauthorized prescription medications. All listed items must comply with Jamaican laws and regulations.
